Scavenger Hunt is a popular party game in which the organizers prepare a list defining specific items, which the participants – individuals or teams – seek to gather all items on the list as specified. Scavenger hunts are regularly held at American universities and today we had one-day trip at Stanford University and Chrsity's (our headJ) message was our mission -- Stanford Scavenger Hunt!
The first mission was to “Find out the name of the current President of Asian Students Entrepreneurship”. We could count on our team member Ann to perform this job proficiently. She came from xx and her friend gave her the exact name in less than few minutes. For me the most impressive challenge was to “Ask as many people as possible to describe leadership qualities in 10 different language.” I am very quiet and shy girl and always reluctant to talk with strangers. But everyone was challenged to complete the tasks on Christy’s list in this most creative and exciting manner. I wanted to see myself be brave and do something for my team. And I found I was definitely not one to shy away from a challenge. A kind old lady told us in Italian and a handsome boy did in French. We also got Tibetan and Portuguese descriptions for leadership qualities. I found that most people here are able to speak multiple languages. I believe it opens opportunities for employment, romance and multicultural understanding in a very cool way!
Our Stanford Scavenger Hunt today used witty, tricky questions in fast-paced game that brought out the best in a fascinating place - and the best in me and my teammates. The hunts were like walking tours spiked with caffeine.
